The challenge
Institutional B2B buyers - equipment distributors, financial institutions, procurement teams - don't shop like consumers. They order through corporate structures, expect account-specific pricing, want quotes and purchase orders, and need their real back-office data (invoices, payments, shipments, projects) live from the ERP that runs the business. A standard storefront can't model that - and rebuilding it bespoke for every new client is slow and expensive.
Corporate structure
Buyers order on behalf of companies, regions and facilities - not as individual shoppers - with roles and permissions that mirror the org.
Account pricing
Each customer group expects its own price lists and contract terms, not one public list.
Live ERP data
Orders, invoices, payments and shipments have to be current from the ERP that actually runs the business.
What we built
A reusable BigCommerce Single-Click app that turns a standard store into a full B2B commerce platform, without giving up BigCommerce's hosting and catalog.
- ◆B2B org modelCompany → region → facility hierarchy, per-group price lists, and a 15-role permission system - labels and structure configurable per client at install.
- ◆Quotes & orderingFull quote lifecycle (create, edit items, email PDF, convert to cart), order history, filtering, and facility-order export.
- ◆Two-way Acumatica ERP syncCustomers, sales orders, invoices, payments, shipments and projects kept in step between storefront and ERP - the portal and back office behave as one system.
- ◆Support toolingBuyer impersonation (staff act on a customer's behalf), shipment-tracking webhooks, broadcast notices, and dashboards with sales and order analytics.
- ◆Modern, maintainable stackReact admin UI on Laravel services, deployed on Google Cloud, split into Companies / Quotes / Configuration services.
The stack
A reusable app on managed cloud infrastructure - productized so new B2B clients onboard on a proven platform rather than a bespoke rebuild.
Delivery model: Delivered via a US delivery partner. Silex builds and maintains the platform; each new client is a configured deployment on the shared codebase - the same B2B engine, branded and wired to their ERP.
Results
Multiple live, branded deployments run on one codebase - an enterprise financial-equipment supplier (live 2024, 40,000+ orders), an FI branch-equipment supplier (live 2022, the reference Acumatica build), and a US community bank's private procurement portal (live 2025). Every deployment runs against live Acumatica data, so buyers never see stale orders, invoices or shipments - and new B2B clients onboard on a proven platform, not a bespoke rebuild each time.
"Orders, invoices, payments and shipments flow straight into Acumatica - no re-keying, no reconciliation. And because it's a platform, not a one-off, our customers get enterprise B2B without us reinventing it every time."

Why it matters
ActiveHub is the modern counterpart to Silex's long-running custom ASPDotNetStorefront work: serious, ERP-fused B2B commerce on BigCommerce - the hard part most stores skip - built once and reused across live deployments. It answers "can you build real B2B on BigCommerce?" with a platform, not a promise.
