Assessment-first · low-risk by design

A free assessment, a platform you own, and a partner who stays.

No big-bang pitch. We start with a scoped, no-obligation assessment, build you a platform you own outright, then run and support it for years. You see the value before you commit a rupee or a dollar.

The engagement model

Four steps, in order.

A predictable path from first call to a platform that runs for years.

1

Free assessment

A scoped, no-obligation review of your current stack, gaps and options. You keep the findings either way.

2

Proposal & plan

A clear scope, timeline and fixed price - plus what you'll own and how we'll run it afterwards.

3

Build - you own it

We build the platform. On custom, self-hosted and open-source work, the code we write, your data and hosting are yours - outright.

4

Run & support for years

The same senior team keeps it live, secure and evolving - the reason clients stay 15-18 years.

Scoped ownership

What "you own it" actually means.

"You own it" means different things on different stacks - here's exactly where the line sits. Most agencies quietly keep clients dependent; we draw the line honestly.

Custom · self-hosted · open-source

You own the code we write, your data and your hosting, outright. Open-source foundations are yours to run, modify and host with no fees and no lock-in. Take it in-house or to another team any time.

SaaS (BigCommerce / Shopify)

You own your data and every customization we build. We work on your account - no lock-in to us, and nothing to unwind if you ever move on.

Ways to engage

The commercial shape of a project.

Free → fixed → retainer. Exact figures live in a scoped proposal after your assessment, sized to the right scope rather than anchored to a number on a page.

Working with partners

When a project needs more than software.

Naming our partners up front explains how a 15-person team fields blue-chip, hardware-heavy work - without overpromising in-house capacity.

Fronts several US enterprise B2B commerce relationships; Silex builds and runs the platform underneath.

Brings the field hardware to our software for mission-critical SCADA and control - how we deliver fuel, airport and terminal projects.

What to expect

The practical questions, answered.

How does Silex Softwares run a custom software development project?

Every Silex project follows the same four steps. It starts with a free look at your current platform or stack, with no obligation to go further. Next comes a written proposal, and the price in it is fixed. Silex then builds the software, and the team that built it stays on to run it.

How long does it take Silex to build a custom software platform?

It depends on what you're building and what it has to connect to, so Silex sets the timeline in the proposal once the free assessment is done. A B2B store tied into an ERP is a different job from a booking platform. The work goes live in stages, so you're using real software well before the last piece is finished.

Who owns the source code when Silex Softwares builds our software?

You do, on custom, self-hosted and open-source builds. The code Silex writes is yours, and so are the data and the hosting. On BigCommerce or Shopify you own your data and every customization Silex adds, and the work sits in your own account. If you later move it in-house or to another team, there's nothing to untangle.

What support does Silex provide after the software goes live?

The people who built it keep looking after it under a retainer or AMC. That covers hosting, security fixes, updates and new work as the business changes. Response times are agreed at the start and depend on how much the system matters: a platform taking orders around the clock gets faster cover than an internal tool. Some clients have been with Silex for 15 to 18 years.

Where is software built by Silex hosted, and can we host it on our own servers?

You decide. Silex can put it on your servers or cloud account, or host it for you. For systems that can't go down, that includes enterprise hosting with a written disaster recovery plan.

How does the Silex team keep clients updated during a software project?

You'll have one named senior contact and regular check-ins, and you can talk directly to the developers doing the work. At the end of each stage there's working software for you to try.
